Saved: To rescue from harm, danger, or loss.
If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved. Rom 10:9
For the message about Christ's death on the cross is nonsense to those who are being lost; but for us who are being saved it is God's power. 1Co 1:18
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Act 4:12
It is your choice to accept this free gift or not. For the reward of sin is death; but what God freely gives is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom 6:23
So if you are an atheist then you have nothing to worry about. At least that is what being an atheist is all about. No God, no hell, no heaven and no thought of an afterlife. So who cares about leaving a legacy? Enjoy the ride. An atheist is a spiritual anarchist.
If your faith has you believing that all roads lead to heaven, or there is no hell, then analysis life’s purpose and pray for a revelation.
If you do not believe in Jesus Christ being the son of God or the resurrection and our only way in to heaven, then what spiritual road in life are you on. What is your standard of good and why? If you do not know the answers you are probably lost. A bold statement but of all the faiths in the world only one claims to believe in a man who returned from the dead, and following Him as your Lord will give you the same authority He had over death.
Nowadays many claim to be Christians but live sinful lives or do not even believe they are sinning. "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Mat 7:21
Yet many other Christians are now asking themselves the question; "Once saved, always saved?" Which seems to be another area of division. Let us all remember the words of our Saviour: But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, He said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to ruin. And every city or house divided against itself will not stand. Mat 12:25
It is a matter of the heart and a sanctification process. So then, let your hearts be changed and be turned to God, so that your sins may be completely taken away, and times of blessing may come from the Lord; Act 3:19
Do not let your salvation be TAKEN for granted. Even worst, do not let the grace of God serve as a license to continue in a life of sin.
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under Law, but under grace?
Let it not be! Rom 6:15
How can you receive this free gift?
It is about believing: For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. John 3:16
If you truly believe and want to receive salvation then pray this simply prayer;
Dear Lord Jesus I am a sinner. I believe that you died for my sins. Right now I repent by turning away from sinful nature and I open the door of my heart and life to You. I receive You as my personal Lord and Savior. Through the help of the Holy Spirit I will serve you all the days of my life.
If you believe, prayed the above prayer and want the power of the Holy Spirit to work in your life, then continue to seek more of God.
We encourage you to start visiting a Christ centered and bible based church in your area. God will do amazing things in your life if you allow Him to.
Being a Christian is not a religion, it is a relationship with a living God.
